Who Am I?
I am Ferris Bueller, a very confident, witty, and mischievous teenager. I have a mom and dad who love me and a sister who can’t stand that I get away from everything. My best friend is Cameron Frye who is pretty opposite of me; a bit nerdy, unconfident, and fearful, but he is good-hearted and he means a lot to me.

It is morning; I am in my bedroom right after I successfully tricked my parents into letting me stay home from school by faking an illness.
What Do I Want?
I want to show Cameron how he can also fake an illness and convince him to get out of his shell a bit and skip school with me.
Start:
*Mom and dad just agreed to let me stay home from school and leave the room. Cameron peeks from behind a curtain\*
Cameron: I couldn’t hear, what happened? What did your parents say?
(Tactic: Generate surprise in Cameron from the outcome)
Me: They bought it!
Cameron: And? Is that a good thing?
(Tactic: Make him realize this is the best thing that could ever happen)
Me: Incredible!
Cameron: Why is this such a big deal this time?
(Tactic: Point out that my parents are so gullible for believing me and it’s borderline unbelievable)
Me: One of the worst performances of my career and they never doubted it for a second.
Cameron: That’s great Ferris, but you really should go to school.
Tactic: (Bring shame onto Cameron from even thinking of saying something so preposterous)
Oh come on…how could I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this?
Cameron: It’s just a day, Ferris. It’s really not that important.
(Tactic: Start to reveal the bigger reason why skipping today is crucial).
Me: This is my ninth sick day this semester.
Cameron: And? It’s just another skip day for you?
(Tactic: Even I, the master, faces tough challenges)
Me: It’s getting pretty tough coming up with new illnesses.
Cameron: Ferris you get away with everything, you’ll figure it out.
(Tactic: Explain the severity of this one and why future sick days are in jeopardy)
Me: If I go for ten, I’m probably gonna have to barf up a lung, so we better make this one count.
Cameron: Ok, whatever. But first I have to convince my parents. What am I going to do?
(Tactic: Learn from the master)
Me: The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands.
Cameron: Why clammy hands?
(Tactic: Sell him on the clammy hands)
Me: It’s a good non-specific symptom and I’m a big believer in it.
Cameron: Ok, I buy that, but so many people just fake being sick without so much effort? Can’t I just do that?
(Tactic: Warn Cameron of falling into that trap)
Me: A lot of people will tell you that a phony fever is a dead lock, but, you get a nervous mother, you could wind up in a doctor’s office.
Cameron: And? I still get to skip school.
(Tactic: Warn again, provoke some fear)
Me: That’s worse than school.
Cameron: Ok so what other tips do you have?
(Tactic: Live demonstration, prove how it works)
Me: First you fake a stomach cramp, and when you’re bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick your palms.
Cameron: I’m not 5, Ferris.
(Tactic: Relate it to current life; it’s not so different)
Me: It’s a little childish and stupid, but then, so is high school.
Cameron: Hey wait a minute, don’t you have a big assignment due today?
(Tactic: Confess but downplay importance of it)
Me: I do have a test today, but it’s on European socialism.
Cameron: What’s wrong with European socialism?
(Tactic: Show how uninteresting and stupid I believe the topic of European socialism is)
Me: I mean really, what’s the point?
Cameron: It’s good to learn of others’ cultures
(Tactics: Prove it does not impact my life)
Me: I’m not European.
Cameron: What if you go to Europe one day?
(Tactic: Further prove European socialism is the absolute least of my worries right now)
Me: I don’t plan on being European, so who gives a crap if they’re socialists.
Cameron: It could be useful, Ferris. You never know.
(Tactic: Connect how European socialism has zero impact on the ultimate goal of my life: to own a car)
Me: They could be fascist anarchists and it still wouldn’t change the fact that I don’t own a car.
Cameron: Ferris, you’ll get a car eventually. You need to stop worrying so much about this current moment and needs.
(Tactic: Wise grandfather. Appeal to Cameron’s emotions and our rapidly ending childhood)
Me: Besides…life moves by pretty quickly. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you just might miss it.

i’m transferring to online school for 10th grade and maybe longer but i still want to graduate with an ib diploma bc my brother graduated with one and i’ve been told it gives me a better chance of getting into a good college.
is there a way i can either take the ib classes online or go to in person school for a few classes and take the rest online or will i need to transfer back to my public school after 10th grade?

Context: About 3 years ago I (24, currently) met this guy, who we'll call "John" (28, i think?), from Grindr during my winter break, hooked up, and decided to stay in touch as FWB afterwards. However, I had to go back to school but we would still talk on IG every so often and mess around when I came back from break. Overall, vibes were good.
After I graduated I met with John a couple times again and still continued to talk as friends for a while. However, last summer I noticed he would start taking days/weeks to respond to me despite being active on social media. It's not like John's a bad texter either. Prior to last summer whenever we would chat he'd reply within a couple minutes or hours depending on how busy he is, which is fair. However, ldays/weeks is a bit much, no? I would even react to his story posts sometimes to see if my messages just got "lost" (he has a lot of friends so I can imagine some times msgs get lost here and there), but still no response.
At this point I'm pretty frustrated. I don't think it's the same feeling as being ignored by a crush, since I don't really see John romantically. I know he's in a long-term open relationship and he see's other guys as well. But it does feel like I'm being ignored by someone who I thought was a friend? We've talked about personal issues, have good banter, and can enjoy each other's presence platonically. I have other close friends I hang out with, but most of them are straight and John is one of the few gay friends that I had. Eventually I block him for like 6 months b/c I would just get so annoyed whenever I saw his posts on IG (wasn't gonna deactivate my account just for him).

Fast forward to this spring, I'm just looking through Grindr when I get a message from a blank profile, and lo' and behold it's John. 6 months had passed and so my bitterness had kind of settled down by then. So, we start talking again, vibes are good, and we eventually end up hooking up later that day. I shortly unblock John and for the next couple months we talk again, hook up, and just casually hang out.
Things seem to be going well again until past couple weeks the same behavior that frustrated me last summer is starting to happen again. It takes days and eventually a week for him to respond to me, meanwhile he's still actively posting on IG. I get that he has a lot of friends and I'm not part of his main crew, but this is kind of ridiculous no? Anyways, I'm not sure what to do in this situation anymore. Part of me tells me that I should be the bigger person and just let him to his thing and I should do mine until he does finally respond. However, another part of me wants to just block him again, but I don't hate him enough to do that again. I'm just frustrated, feeling used (maybe he only reached out to me b/c he was horny), and feeling dumb about how this is happening all over again.
Anyways, any advice in moving forward? I tend to overthink, get anxious in situations like these, and I want to be done with these emotions by the time I start graduate school again in a couple months.

Executive Summary: I have a lot of clinical and a lot of volunteer but not a lot of research and high stats.

Sorry in advance if this is a neurotic question. I have a 3.75 and all A’s. But in Civ Pro 2 I somehow got a C+ (I’m still baffled because I got the highest scoring exam in civ pro 1) I did have my brother die during the semester so my focus was elsewhere.
So graduating law school with a 3.75 GPA and one C+ on my transcript and the rest A’s, do I still have a chance at Big Law?
I’m so upset about this stupid C+ I got which in my school is median.

For many years I lived thinking most if not everything I did was right and justified but during a recent shroom trip ( 3.5 gram first time ) I truly recognized and felt the weight of all my sins and stupid choices, I saw from beginning to end where every choice I thought was right at the time turned out to be the complete opposite and I heard a voice, not mine telling me about them and insulting me, i went to the camera and after years of minor insecurity but mostly thinking im a 10/10 because i could pull bitches and im a lightskin so lots of girls liked that, beside the point but as i looked in the camera, and later the mirror all i saw was a disgusting, selfish, stupid, ignorant irresponsible man looking back. To make things worse, later on during the trip my stepdad rushed into the room and announced to me that my mom had left and been gone for hours, we ended up having to find her an hour and a half away and the whole time I didn’t even notice she was gone because I was too busy taking shrooms. As if I didn’t already have enough reasons to think I’m a bad son because im not what my parents wanted me to be I smoke weed and didn’t even pass this school year because my irresponsible piece of shit self wanted to get high during class instead of paying attention in class and doing good like my parents want me to. Now I want to kill my self, my inner self that makes me think what im doing is okay and is lead by impulse. Any tips on how to go about this? Should I take a higher dose of shrooms, or try some other psychedelic that will change me somehow? I cant kill myself physically because I know of the pain it would cause for the people around me but after days of constant self reflection I am certain that i truly hate myself, not in a “ oh why am i not good enough way “ in a “ i am a terrible person who needs to change drastically to love and be loved properly “. I came across this in my search to transfer to an online school since I am in my last 2 years of military and am being moved unexpectedly to a different base. I'm going to be a junior this fall and I came across this information that is often overlooked / unknown to many people. ABET = Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology. I have done research and actual Universities have their CS program ABET accredited. Just thought I would share, in case others didn't know either. I'm sure other programs that aren't isn't the end of the world but, if you're looking for graduate school and/or want to add some more credibility to your credentials.

I have a 2021 M340i with the perfect exhaust setup, and it’s unquestionably the perfect daily driver. It is already 1/3 paid off and only 15,000 miles away from the warranty ending (when I can finally justify tuning).
I want a manual car again, and the B58 is absolutely my favorite engine of all time. I’ve always said I wanted a supra because of the heritage, and it reminds me of high school when one of my best friends had an A80 6spd turbo… that said I would not want 50,000 more miles driving a stock B58, or spending another $60,000 on a car.
Those of you who drive MT Supras, do you think it’s worth it in my case?

I live in a relatively small town that pretty much died after COVID and fell out with my friends after high school. (Where I was relatively popular) i'm m, 22 and just now going to college. I'm basically completely, utterly alone, I've been this way for two years now, no friends or people that I can trust let alone someone who loves me. My texts, dating apps, facebooks, socials will be completely dry for weeks at a time unless I text my few good friends that are out of state left. But I feel alone. Like I'll never get to enjoy my life or find someone I care about until my 30's, and by then people don't hang out, talk, etc. I'm deadly scared I'm going to make the wrong decision and end working two jobs 20 hours a day or something where I won't have the TIME to do anything until in 30. I'm also worried that if this keeps up, I won't even be able to socialize properly after being alone for so long. I don't know what to do

My question for you all is are you vaccinated from COVID-19? And are there exceptions from having to get the jab? I know it can be different from state to state.

This has driven me nuts for years! It would have been ‘90s or earlier. I remember reading it over and over, but I can’t really remember any of the plot except for the fact that it was set in a performing arts high school, and there was a Phantom-type character who hid in the ceiling (I think) above the school’s stage. Me and my friend mess up for being stupid and we sneak inside a dominant white rich private highschool. We got caught swimming and we found out this school is really strict because of how past case of theft and other stuff before us. The police said I would go to court and talk to the prosecutor and hopefully everything would be fine, but I really don’t know. This is my first time being to court or commit this level of offense. I just graduated hs and turn 18 while having a full ride to a university. What is the worse that can happen?

40 male, lean, live at sea level, never smoked etc. At 35 at the end of 2016 I did some basic blood work and had a hemoglobin of 17, hematocrit of 49.1, platelets just above range at 152, a few months later I did a testosterone test that came with hct and my test level was at the very low end of normal, hct was 49.9. I was also only 122lbs at this point (later to 140's, now ultimately 160's). Labcorp's range for hgb is 12.6-17.7 but was later changed to 13.0-17.7, hct range is 37.5-51.0 and still is today.
I look into testosterone replacement therapy and do more bloods throughout the year as I am starting to lift, do cardio, change diet, eat more calories etc, platelets start going lower down to 138, I find low vitamin d and b12 and start working on that, and keep lifting. Hgb at 15.8 & hct at 47.7. Still low end of normal test levels but starting to trend up during "noob gain" phase of lifting.
Early 2018 I have 16.1 & 48.6, platelets down to 126. Later 2018 I get bloods through Quest at Dr during std checkup etc right before I got super sick with something that was never diagnosed (neg for strep, all std, epstein barr, flu, tb etc) and my hct was 49.9 on range of 35.0-45.0 & hgb was 17.1 with range cutoff at 15.5 but nothing was said about it. Also had a separate testosterone that was lower than my original in early 2017, it's starting to trend down here.
Home sleep study in 2019 shows ZERO sleep apnea.
Jan 2020 I get a 15.9 & 46.9, platelets down to 128 (cutoff is 150). Nothing else odd but Testosterone has been creeping down, so it's not a driver of erythrocytosis.
Later in 2020 I see a hematologist (seemed out of date, he had been an MD for over 20 years already) after an hct of 51.1, hgb of 17.4 and an rbc of 5.87 (out of range), and platelets at 138. B12 was insane at 1700 He says I likely have immune thrombocytopenia and said "they don't look at hematocrit". Was fighting some weight loss issues here despite lifting and counting calories etc, and no longer having a job where I would walk 27k steps a night was confusing.
He said do more CBC's and I had weird cholesterol on this one so I did another one a couple of weeks later and my hct was 50.1 and hgb 16.1, platelets 132. I get a referral for in lab sleep study (like all of my bloods, this will be out of pocket). End of the year I get a 48.9 and 16.4, but platelets are now at new low of 121. Had a CBC with 48.9 & 16.3, platelets at 127, B12 is through the roof at 1732 when it had previously not responded to shots or supplements. I stopped the supplement, months later b12 still high at 1275. Follow up with hematologist was basically just keep doing cbc often to monitor platelets, no concern with hct or hgb even when elevated the same year and in the past.
Early 2021 I get a 49.2 hct and 16.5 hgb and platelets now down to 110. In lab sleep study in mid 2021 revealed no sleep apnea at all, just zero stage 3 sleep, same as home study from 2019. Testosterone has been trending down, now free test levels are below range and estrogen is too, feeling bad, do two more blood panels before going on TRT in mid 2021. First one shows HCT at 52.1 & HGB at 17, platelets at 116. I do bloods one more time that year (at this point blood work is cheap as hell and I am REALLY trying to avoid going on TRT) and get hct 51.7 and hgb at 16.5, platelets at 116.
I go on TRT expecting hct to go up, it goes to 55 by the end of 2021. I donate blood in early 2022 and right after hct starts going to 59.2, and stays at 59 for 2022 on a few tests, platelets now alternate between just above normal at 160 and low at 140. I donate at end of 2022 and it goes down to 52.5 but climbs right back to 55, then 57.8. Different hematologist's NP says she is sure she felt my spleen and I cringe in pain upon palpation. He comes in and orders complete abdominal ultrasound. I asked with my bloods trending UP over the years, is it possible they would have kept going up anyway if I never went on trt, he went on rant about trt and said we can not know. He was not concerned about PV because epo was normal, I said "TRT drives up epo, we never tested BEFORE trt, so we dont know if it was low before". He said if my spleen is enlarged, he will order jak2. He keeps focusing on current trt blood work showing high counts, but ignores the ones before going on. He's also been an md for years and didnt seem to know the updated WHO criteria.
Spleen comes back as top class in size with a small cyst and a splenule, liver, kidneys, pancreas all look good. He blows it off, doesn't order a follow up and his nurse tells me he doesn't like people doing homeopathic things or taking hormones etc.
Had two weird occular migraines in 2018, I have been itching after a shower for YEARS and it gets better after I donate but still occurs (even if I just wash my feet, my legs light up itching at night), had it before trt. Have a big toe issue that wont heal, started as a foot injury at old job in 2019, it wont heal, 7 months ago it flared and cannot get it under control. MY DPT is baffled as to what to do, MRI shows erosive changes in first mtp joint of big toe, and said to rule out Gout at bottom of report. I started having crazy acid reflux around the time toe flared and am now on meds for it, dr wants me to do upper GI test to rule out ulcers etc. I dont eat garbage that would cause an ulcer, nor take things that would cause an ulcer but get BLOATED TO HELL and back anytime I eat, and this makes it harder to bulk. Fatigue is unreal, without TRT I would be down for the count, I still stay active and lift 4-5 times a week but it's a major struggle, stay in shape (no cardio now with foot problem, used to run hills and climb in the woods) but am run down at work, fall asleep driving etc.
I am not sure if I should just pay for a jak2 out of pocket, and if positive, drive 8 hours to an MPN specialist, or if I could come up with a reason for every single symptom that has occurred over time. The random normal counts in between high counts, which ultimately went higher and higher make me think it's something else.
