The beginning after the end wiki

This post is admittedly very early but wondering if anyone has any suggestions for NYE parties/events? (December 31, 2023). My understanding is that this will be the first NYE since the beginning of the pandemic without strict quarantine/social distancing.
It's going to be my first time back to HK - this time with my girlfriend - after spending 5 months here on exchange back in 2017 (some of my best university/college memories).
Would prefer something semi-private (dinner and drinks with views of the skyline, rooftop bar, boat across the bay at night, etc.) but also open to more public things like hanging around the avenue of stars or the IFC rooftop.
Any suggestions/recommendations would be awesome and hopefully this can serve as a starting point for others as well.

So I just watched Across The Spider Verse and I loved it, however, the movie seems to show that live action people and animated people literally look that way. We see spot enter the live action venoms universe as an animated character and he stays animated and when the cannon is being explained we see some live action spider people as live action. Would this mean that if we ever see Miles interacting with the 1999/616 continuity he would be animated? Or if we see the spider trio in the sequel they would stay live action? And not just that, in the beginning of atsv we see Gwen make some comments on the vulture being paper, so like is he actually made of paper? It just seems pretty confusing, I would love to see miles in secret wars or Kant dynasty but it would seem a little goofy for him to be animated, you know?

Wife and I just moved across the country to Tennessee, dont know anyone here, and after all the busyness moving most of my online friendships have fissled out. Anyone online or local wanna hang out?
I hike, camp, shoot when i can afford it, otherwise im writing a fantasy novel, a massive history nerd, and VR enthusiast. I used to practice jiu jitsu and krav maga but can't really afford to anymore, also started trying to learn the basics of HEMA but that's a whole new skillset. I also read a lot, usually a novel or so per month.

When I saw posts here. I really wanted to have a happy situation to tell. But as of 3 1/2 hours ago I got rejected. I'll start top to bottom of my day. But first Backstory. I've been loving the heck out of this girl since 7th grade and we are now sophomores. At the Beginning of Freshman year, I asked my friend who did have her number If I could have it. (I could at that point never have done it myself.) Finally last day of Freshman year I texted here saying

I sent this May 26th and didn't get a response and I decided to make sure I had the right number even

My heart sank. I truly was in denial I went to my friend that gave me the number and I asked him Did I get the right number like is that ----- -----------'s number? and he said
"Yes it is."
And I just broke down crying I haven't done anything but sit in silence I don't think I've said a single word accept insulting myself while crying. I have been building up this day and putting many things of my very small attention size due to ADHD to the side for this and I'm just defeated... I don't know what to do. What doesn't help is that earlier today I put down my dog that has been in the family for 14 years (he was a 19 year old Labrador) I've known him all my life and I've put that guy down. Really disappointed with my tour of Europe this past May 2023. Cosmos did not communicate with us after we arrived to London, and we didn't know that our tour guide had been changed. The Novotel in the Hammerschmidt area of London was the best hotel we had on the whole tour because the rest were just "standard tourist" equivalent to one star hotels. Dirty, smelly hotels with small rooms. The food included in the tour was terrible, the rest of the time the Hotels were so far away from civilization that we were forced to eat at the hotel's restaurants if they had one or travel 30 minutes or more to the closest towns. All in all I will not use Cosmos again, it was a waste of my money....

I got an Adult Driving Log back when I renewed my permit, does the DMV still use this log to waive the road test or did that end already?

I needed to tell Julie everything I felt, everything I experienced, regardless she would think I was crazy or not, it was something I wanted to share with her for so long and then….a Swan, it reminded me of the ballet performance the Swan Lake and felt compelled to take a photo and to share it with her but when I looked at the pic what I saw blown my mind

So today, I’m around 50 days in recovery. I say this because I have read spicy novels and such, as a way to give myself dopamine but not watch porn, so not totally sober. As the days go by, the need and want for these novels and such are less and less. Today, I started the day by waking up at 5:30, and worked out in my house while I listened to the radio: Casey‘s Top 40 was playing, and the count down was for 1987, my personal favorite year for music, i heard some of my favorites. After I ate some fruit and a bagel, and took a shower, and visited my familia. We made some tortillas and rice, and I took a long nap. I worked on some things, and I’m planning to get some good sleep tonight. I feel pretty okay, i think probably the best in a while

Sent in my TBWD. Checked Riverside's online system to see the progress of the ticket, and saw that this was recorded about a week after they arraigned me for my TBWD: "RETURN OF NOTICE TO OFFICER OF TRAFFIC COURT TRIAL SETTING / NOTICE OF UNAVAILABILITY FILED."
Any idea what it means?

I have a 2016 Hyundai Accent SE Hatchback which recently had all 4 tires replaced in November 2022 by Town Fair Tire (TFT).
In February 2023, TFT also did a "Flat Repair with TPMS recal" on a slow leak after I ran over a nail in the Home Depot parking lot. Thankfully I noticed the leak right away and I was able to drove over to a nearby TFT to get it fixed while it was still filled with enough air to safely do so. My car came with a Kia "tire mobility kit" instead of a donut or spare, and when I had the flat tire happen and I was chatting with the TFT staff I found out that if I had actually used the kit it would have voided out my tire warranty.
My Kia tire mobility kit is now expired and due to it's several limitations- it can only be used one time, hazardous/can't use it if a tire has sidewall damage, and using it at all could potentially void out a TFT tire warranty- I am more inclined to opt for purchasing a spare tire & scissor jack rather than replacing the tire mobility kit. It will give me peace of mind to know that no matter what type of damage my tire may incur in the future, how far away from home I might be adventuring, or how tight my schedule & commitments may be at the time, I can always quickly swap out a damaged tire with the spare tire in the trunk and then deal with the repairing or replacing the damaged one whenever it is convenient for me.
If anyone else has gone this route with switching over to a spare or donut, I'd be interested to hear what type of tire brand, etc. you selected. Additionally, I consider my 4 current tires "new" since they are all only 7 months old with less than 5,000 miles on each of them, but I could use some input- when I purchase a new spare tire, should I have it installed on the car right away to give it a little wear & tear or should it just go straight into the trunk and not be rotated in until a flat/emergency happens?
